The UFO Phenomenons: Between Truth and Fiction. An Interview with Steve Hudgeons by Tudor Petcu
Steve Hudgeons is the Director of International Development for the Mutual UFO Network and he is also the Director of Investigations-International.
He has been a member of MUFON since 1991 and lives in Fort Worth, Texas.
1) What is the significance of ufology and its evolution?
"Don’t let your live witnesses be caught dead, or more importantly if government truth is revealed from your interviews of witnesses, could it be your back that needs to be watched?"
This statement was made by Ernest Lloyd Thompson. World War II veteran of the Air Force. According to his own admission, he flew the first leg of the journey from Eighth Air Force, Roswell to Fort Worth, Texas. The flight reportedly contained wreckage from the Roswell crash site.
I am of the opinion that anyone witnessing a UFO sighting presents special challenges in the normal interviewing process. Considerations are:
1) the witness may be involved in a very close encounter and be upset
2) the witness may be faking a UFO story
3) the witness may have mental issues
The evolution side of this can be said to have begun in ancient times if you consider the objects seen in the air of paintings as well as remarks made in the oldest book known in humanity, The Bible. So how important is the evolution of ufology? I deem it very important because we know very little about the origin of UFOs even after years of investigations.
2) Which sightings are the most relevant in the USA?
The USA has an average of 6,500 reports each year for the past four years. In my opinion, all are important. You might think they are similar but in the true sense, they are different. Small details are important. Taking these small details for face value, you begin to identify what has been seen or photographed. We have the ability to identify bugs, dirt, birds, atmospheric conditions, as well as airplanes at night, from years of testimony and photo analysis. This is all due to the training we receive from MUFON. I believe that the USA has the most reports due to one major factor. The atmosphere is filled with many airplanes flying above our heads that appear as lights in the sky at night.
3) As for books on the subject;
I know they are out there but I cannot recommend one to you. I stopped reading UFO books many years ago because I did not want what I read to interfere with my investigations. I have learned more from the hands-on experience during an actual investigation. If I were to suggest a book to you, I suggest you look at the MUFON Store. There are a few books there that could be what you are looking for.
4) What could determine the existence of extraterrestrials?
In short, a major landing in a major city on Planet Earth.
Even if this took place, considering the lockdown we now have with the media, it may not be seen worldwide. Could this be the reason for a media lock-down? A known Alien Landing? We actually have the proof in hand but most have not taken it into consideration.
There is a book that has been in our hands, worldwide, for many years and is read daily. The BIBLE. It talks of the GOD that created the Heavens and the Earth. I often ask, "Where did GOD stand while he created, everything?" That makes me ask what the true definition of "Heavens and the Earth" really is. Secondly, there is an estimated number (in the trillions) of "Earths" out there in Space. To believe that WE ARE ALONE is a thought held by a very non-educated person.
The definition of extraterrestrial is someone not of the Earth. GOD was not born on the Planet earth so HE is an Alien by definition.
5) Alien Abduction.
Did it or did it NOT take place? Great question. I was a radio show Host for six years. I had a show once a week for two hours and I interviewed many many people on all things UFO and Paranormal. I began to ask my guest to give me the connection between UFOs and the Paranormal. The answers were basically the same and came down to, Aliens disappear so do Ghost. Aliens walk through walls, so do Ghost. I would then remark, So you are saying a Ghost has the same technology as an Alien?
Let's take a look at a child in bed, sound asleep. The child wakes up for whatever reason and sees Grandmother at the foot of the bed looking back at them. The Grandmother has been passed on for a few years now and should NOT be there. The kid jumps out of bed and runs to Mommie and Daddy's bedroom telling them all about how Grandmommie is in their bedroom. Oh, it is okay, it was just a bad dream, you sleep in here tonight. Ghosts have been around for years and there is NO real evidence.
Some say that BigFoot is an Alien because there are cases where BigFoot was seen with a UFO. I follow by asking about the evidence for BigFoot. The evidence is based on one or two videos and many castings of footprints. NO DNA. NO dead bodies. BigFoot has been seen for hundreds of years in the USA alone and there is NO real evidence. I can put on a suit and take a video and I can make a casting in the dirt. So again, where is the evidence?
Taking into account that in all things Alien, the Alien has total mind control over the Human.
In my opinion, something has been seen in most cases. I have concluded that in all cases Paranormal, we are confronting an Alien. As we have seen, all things Alien are above TOP SECRET in the Government so the Alien has to project an image that a Human is accustom with such as a relative that has passed on so they are seeing a Ghost. This way the said Alien is NOT breaking with any signed contract made with the USA. While in a forest area they see a BigFoot or a Werewolf, etc. Did the witness come across an Alein taking samples?
If "I" were being abducted over and over from my house.......I would have a network of cameras set up in order to secure the footage for evidence. Have you ever seen such footage that would pass as evidence in a courtroom? Nor have I. The footage I have seen is equal to something I could put together. By the way, I do have cameras set up around my home.
Taking into account all that I have stated in the above, it all comes down to evidence. Your evidence has to be good enough to convince the majority of a jury pool of people that have no idea what you are talking about in the first place.
