Some reflections on the war in Ukraine. An interview with Tudor Petcu by Nanuka Tchkuaseli
1. What does Romania think about this war? Romania is a NATO member, so our country could never accept such a war. As a matter of fact, Romanian politics are trying to help Ukraine in different ways possible, considering that this war shouldn't ever took place. The presidential declarations are always focused on the necessity of peace and of finding a solutions in order to stop this war as soon as possible. Of course, Romania can't do big deal because Ukraine isn't a state member of NATO, nor of EU, but at least, shows empathy and friendship in these terrible times in which Ukrainians are living. 2. You are neighbors, what is the situation in Romania now. How does the government react ? Romanians are hosting now a lot of refugees coming from Ukraine, as it is normal and our country will still offer all kinds of help as long as it will be necessary.
